Obituary of Johnnie Lee (Hussey) Stanton Prestidge Jonesboro Sun Wed, June 9, 1993 MRS. PRESTIDGE A graveside service for Mrs. Johnnie Lee Prestidge, 77, of Norman, Oklahoma ., will be held this morning at 10 in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Weiner, under the direction of the Gree Funeral HOme of Jonesboro. A former resident of Harrisburg (this is wrong she lived out side of Waldenburg 4 miles), Mrs. Pretidge was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church of Weiner. Survivors include two sons, Mike Prestidge of Weiner, and James L. Stanton of Norman; one daughter, Margaret Widsom of Norman; two brothers, Sam Hussey and Raymond Hussey, both of Phoenix City, ALA.: 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Johnnie died 12:20 p.m. 9 June 1993 in Norman, Cleveland Co., OK regional hospital. Johnnie m. James Horces Stanton Dec 24, 1931 Coffee County, AL. They divorced in AL in about 1941-45. They had three children of this marriage. James Harold Stanton d. at birth about 1932-1935. Still living are their son and daughter, James of LA and Margaret of OK. Johnnie m. James Herman Prestidge date and place unknown. They had two children of this marriage a son, Micheal Shay (still living) and Linda Sue (Prestidge) Stacy: b. 3-17-1947 Fort Benning, GA d. 17 Feb. 1978 buried in Weiner Cemetery Poinsett Co, AR in a car accident. Linda, divorced, had three wonderful children, two boys and one girl before her death. Johnnie left her home on Rt 2 Box 170 Weiner ARK (about 4 miles out of Waldenburg and 8 miles out of Weinerk, ARK) and moved in with her son James and his wife, Carol Stanton in Norman, OK several years before her death. Johnnie had fought with Cancer for years. A strong women she enjoyed life and the people she called family and friends to the very end.
